Ingredients
Bananas | 380 g |
Cocoa | 4 tbsp |
Dark Chocolate 85% | 60 g |
Cashew Nuts | 2 tbsp |
Step 1
Peel and cut the bananas into chips and place them in a blender. Add the cocoa powder and blitz until the mixture is smooth and has a mousse-like consistency. It has to be runny and dense.
Step 2
Slowly pour the chocolate banana mixture into a ice suitable mould and insert a wooden stick to serve as handle. Alternatively, if you think you will make this recipe more than once, it may be worth buying a cute, reusable ice lolly mould. Repeat the above step for the other moulds until you have used all the mix.
Freeze the popsicles for at least 3 hours.
Step 3
Melt the chocolate in a small bowl by placing it in the microwave or in a pan with boiling water for a few minutes. In the meantime, remove the ice pops from their mould. Finely chop the nuts and put them in a little cup. For each ice lolly, dip the tip first in the melted chocolate and then in the nuts and serve.
Enjoy!
Tips
To remove the popsicles from their moulds, leave them to sit at room temperature until they can be easily pulled out. In alternative, place them in a bowl with warm water for about 20 seconds, remove from the bowl and pull them out.
These popsicles are naturally sweet. If you prefer an even sweeter flavor try to add some honey or maple syrup or simply use very ripe bananas.
